Some anarchists in halifax are coming together with the goal of building an effective anarchist organization, capable of building relationships with marginalized communities, supporting and participating in everyday struggles against capitalism and the state, carrying out mutual aid projects, and producing a coherent analysis of capitalism.

if this PR firm thinks dal is doing fine so far they don't know shit from peanut butter.
also obviously fuck PR, it's basically a euphemism for professional bullshitting.

if dal is concerned about their image right now they should take some substantial action against the "gentlemen".

the relationship between this and the polytechnique massacre is obvious. both actions were compelled by misogyny. advocating violence against women and enacting it are not the same, but are pretty obviously related.
Misogyny is real, rape culture is real, and the result is quite a bit of violence against women. If we want to eliminate that violence, we need to eliminate the cultural attitudes in which it is rooted. this is a pretty simple level of analysis, but it beats sticking your head in the sand and treating all events as isolated.

all of this makes it pretty obvious: we need a militant feminist movement in halifax. we need a movement to confront oppression everywhere.

apologies are good, but anonymity makes it weird. and the tone of this is kind of all over the place.
    more generally:
it should go without saying that people who think rape is great shouldn't be qualified to any profession involving anaesthetics.

the fact that it does not is evidence that we need a strong militant feminist movement in halifax, and everywhere.
