The boys in Kuato were especially chuffed by this win, considering they trade their supremely doomy experimental rock in this city in particular–“a city full of bands who have blown us away throughout our time here,” says drummer Josh Pothier. Like most of us, Kuato has remained low-key over the past few months, releasing the video for “Groundwork” in January. “We’ve been hibernating for the winter but we’ll get the beast back on it’s feet when we release our debut album The Great Upheaval in June,” says Pothier. “Get ready to wash off those earplugs.”
