There’s a new best bus driver in town, as Kurt Borden dethrones repeat-champion Darren Cobb. A 12-year veteran of Halifax Transit, Borden can usually be found driving the number seven route, saying hello to regulars and folks he recognizes from growing up in the north end. “I do run into old friends I went to school with,” says Borden. But there are plenty of new friends too. “You do get to meet people. You see them at the bus stop in the morning, and you hold back a few seconds for them.” A courtesy every commuter behind the eight ball likely appreciates.
