The artistic mastermind behind Fishbone Prints, Alex MacAskill, runs the gauntlet that every graphic designer must endure with ease. MacAskill pleasantly fields the random comments from band members (it should look dark! And cool! But not too dark! Maybe like a circus in hell?) and turns out some amazing work. “A good poster has to have the presence of the band as well as the artist. It can’t just be a piece of the artists’ work with a band name slapped on there somewhere,” says MacAskill. “If it’s real good it can transport you into that sound, that crowd, the energy of that concert.” And in Fishbone’s future, t-shirts!
