Daniel Ledwell had a show-stopping year, winning Best Producer at ECMW as well as his 2012 produced albums garnering six nominations: Jenn Grant’s The Beautiful Wild, Heather Green’s Your Last War and Gabrielle Papillion’s Little Bug. But somehow, this little Coasty nod from the fans is just as appreciated. Ledwell, who also performs his own solo material at shows that are too few and far between, understands the light touch behind the mixing boards is just like applying makeup. When done right, it looks like a super hot Victoria’s Secret angel has dropped to earth. Who’s next in line? “Just finishing Don Brownrigg’s record, working on Soho Ghetto’s new record,” says Ledwell. “Also a solo record that is due out sometime in the next five years.” Well, that’s promising.
