When Freak Lunchbox’s headquarters on Barrington Street moved two doors down in 2015, it made a monstrous splash by hiring Montreal mural artist Jason Botkin to paint a sublime, sea-inspired scene on the side of the building, luring southbound traffic to take a closer look. The vibrant, unmissable piece of public art kind of doubles as a retail sign, and we can only assume it's part of why voters crowned the Freak the best. That and its always eye-catching hand-painted Popeye, weightlifter and giant gummy bear signage. Those weirdos never get old.
