Don't ask yourself: Should I Be Doing This?

Because you should, definitely, go see Ryan Doucette's new play.

Actor Ryan Doucette's new show Should I Be Doing This? uses humour to look at those universal moments when we all question our next step. It explores the idea of bringing the everyday into profundity as well as the pleasures and awkwardness of first experiences. The first step is always the hardest, and it brings with it a huge chance of mishap. Doucette wanted to explore those moments of stupid bravery when we decide we'll try anything for the first time: the first time meeting someone, first relationship, first time learning a new language and first time presenting a new show are all intimidating situations. He questions what makes us go out and try something for the first time, knowing we could epically fail. The show, created with local actor John Beale, is a blend of sketch comedy and clowning and promises to be funny, smart and insightful.
