This pole on the corner of Robie and Willow once held a guide wire in place. Now it whacks pedestrian crotches. What happened to you, pole? You used to be cool.

Remarks: This was always a difficult pole to detect with the naked eye. It had something to do with the sightlines as you approached the curb—it’s almost like the pole was trying to sneak up and hit you in the crotch (unfortunately, our crotch is our one Achilles’ heel). We called it in, got a reference number and shortly after, a work crew was spotted on Robie and Willow attempting to yank the pole out of the ground—and out of our lives.
