Letters to the Editor | Opinion | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

I'm writing this in response to Resident Weevil who thought bikes should be kept off the sidewalks. Now I ride a skateboard, not a bike. Although, I experience the same grief as many bikers, pedestrians who think they own the sidewalk. You can just walk in the middle of the sidewalk, pick a side! Besides someone riding a bike or skateboard isn't really taking more room on the sidewalk than your average overweight walker. You don't want to get run over by a bike? Then watch where you're going. There's a much better chance of being hit on the road by one of Halifax's crazy drivers than by a cyclist taking up 2 feet of the sidewalk.
