Gottingen Street is like a broken-winged phoenix that repeatedly tries to resurrect itself but never quite gets off the ground.

Would the results of this survey be different if the answers were simply yes/no?

All well and good but we live in a democracy and, right or wrong, the majority of people want youth justice to reflect something closer to corporal punishment. I agree that the solution starts at home, giving kids a nurturing environment in which to develop and mature. The seemingly insurmountable challenge is giving every child such a healthy home.

    Re: “Hiking the line
Another great local hike is at the Uniacke Estate Museum. Shortest trail is about a km and the full loop will take you a couple hours. Families and dog walkers will enjoy the wide and well-maintained Old Post Road trail - following the same route the stage coaches took from Halifax to Windsor. A bit more challenging is the Wetland Trail and Barrens Trail. All-in-all, a good walk in the woods that's less than 30 minutes from Halifax.
