I am a proud owner of 4 cats (that are strictly indoors -apartment) and a new addition - a dog. They're all well taken care of, loved and fixed.

Now why is the HRM bitching that we can only have 3 cats/3 dogs in the home?!?!?! I understand completely if the animals are out of control, destroying property, interrupting peace in the neighbourhood. But many aren't.

Why not register cats that are OUTDOORS?!?! They're the ones that are going to get caught. Not the ones that can't open a door, let alone an apartment building secured door.

And what if I have 4 cats?? Is Animal Control (whom my father has worked for)/HRM going to come and tell me to get rid of one and put it in their ALREADY OVER FLOWING animal shelters?!?! Give me a fuckin' break. They'll need to build a few mansion sized buildings for the over populated cats that are strays/kicked out of their own homes thanks to a new "we need to milk more money out of you" by-law.

And for those of you that wrote into the local newspapers complaining and whining that they destroy your plants and such? Fence 'em/find a pet/plant friendly spray that cats won't like or call Animal control. OR go and tell the owner (if you know them) to keep better control of their pets. Use some common sense.

Here's a hint - cats used to piss on my garbage all the time at home - spray some javex on the bag.
