People I have four words for you...PUT DOWN THE PHONE. Excessive cell phone use is literally ruining our social fabric. Remember 10 years ago when we all just walked around, taking in our environment, talking to the people we were actually with, paying attention to our surroundings. Now were just hundreds of little phone booths walking around taking up space. Slowly but surely people are forgetting how to behave in various social settings because they spend too much time on their phone instead of being one with the present environment. I work in a restaurant and I can guarantee you the following. If you are on the phone as you sit at the table, i'm not going to approach the table until you're off the phone. If you walk through the door on the phone, I'm not going to acknowledge you until you're off the phone. If I'm trying to take an order from someone at your table and we can't understand each other because your yelling on your phone, I'm going to ask you to take the conversation elsewhere. If you leave the table and go stand in the middle of another section and talk loudly on the phone interupting other guests who could give a rat's ass about what your friends are doing later, I'm going to ask you to take the conversation outside. Also, don't drive and talk on the phone. If you do that on a regular basis then you are an idiot. I could go on for days but that will do.

I hate cell phones
