Looks like Fredericton is on the right track. Downtown business owners will now give panhandlers a chance to earn food chits in exchange for odd jobs like window washing, sidewalk sweeping and snow clearing. Bravo, Fredericton, and shame shame shame Halifax for not creating the same type of program. Give those bums on Barrington something constructive to do instead of rattling their fucking Timmie's cups in the faces of people who actually work hard for their money. Get with it, Halifax, and do something about this ever-growing problem.
