I am so so so sick of hearing people whine and bitch about not having Sunday shopping...suck it up, go for a walk, or a movie, go out to supper, spend time with your kids, DEAL WITH IT! I hate the comment 'We only have one day to shop' No you fucking do
I am so so so sick of hearing people whine and bitch about not having Sunday shopping...suck it up, go for a walk, or a movie, go out to supper, spend time with your kids, DEAL WITH IT! I hate the comment 'We only have one day to shop' No you fucking don't! You have six full days to shop, not to mention the stores that are open 24 hours a day. How hard is it to go to the grocery store through the week or on Saturday??
That being said, I'm not against Sunday shopping, I'm just tired and fucking sick of hearing people bitch about it. Shop through the week and spend time with your kids on Sunday!
I used to work at Sobeys and I would hate to of had to work on Sundays! I still don't want to work Sundays! And I also don't feel the need to shop on Sundays. It is also nice for the stores to be closed on Sundays on behalf of their employees so that occassionally, as will be this weekend, their staff can actually have a long weekend...long for retail employees being a measly 2 days, whereas most of us will be sitting back with three days plus off this weekend!
Sobeys and Superstore should be fined for opening on Sunday...The arguement that Shoppers is allowed to have groceries and be open...WELL Shoppers has been open on Sundays for years! They may have a small grocery selection in some stores but serioulsy, is Shoppers seriously cutting into the big grocery chains profits that much??? Honestly! How much more business can be generated by being open on Sunday?
I realize that Nova Scotia is the only province in Canada without Sunday shopping but does it seriously make a province that much better to live in??
I especially liked the comment I read last week that went something like 'they don't consider people like us who NEED Sunday shopping'...yah NEED it alright...
I just don't understand why its such a big goddamned deal that it seems to consume everyone in this city...it seems like I hear about it on the radio every five minutes or read about it and I'm just sick of it!
