Monday afternoon, I was returning to Halifax form a trip to the Mic Mac Mall. I was driving down the bridge approach where traffic queues for the tolls when I saw some guy in a yellow safety vest come running across the 6 busy lanes of traffice waving frantically. I slammed on my brakes thinking that I was in imminant danger. The guy angrily waved a car in the second lane from the inside to the right shoulder of the appraoch. He had a radar gun in hand - I assume the guy got "pulled over" for speeding.

The bridge police officer had atleast four cars literally screaching their brakes to avoid running him over. I honestly hope that the guy gets commission for tickets because he is one crazy mofo to be running out into those lanes of traffic to stop a speeding car (shhhh but I was in the process of passing the car that got pulled over). Couldn't the cop just get in his car and made a real traffic stop instead of almost getting run over? I am sure if somone did hit the guy in the middle of a five lane highway they would have been charged for manslaughter (cause everyone expects to see some fool running around in the middle of a highway with no pre-warning). No wonder these guys aren't real cops.
