I was greatly disappointed at the Weakerthans concert held at the DAL campus Wednesday. When my ticket was purchase I was told that alcohol would be sold. Upon arrival I find out that as an ADULT I was not able to A. Leave the building once entered. And B. Not have a drink without a student card. Why would anyone have a concert at a place open to the public but restrict the public from drinking. The non-students (with most likely more money) had to sit outside the doors like a bunch of high school children waiting in front of a liquor store.

Although I had a good time, I feel the Weakerthans are like cigarettes. They are wonderful by themselves, but would have been much more enjoyed with a drink in hand.

Please don’t hold anymore concerts there, we have enough decent bars in Halifax to hold them.

Parched…
