This may be a re-hashing of a recent bitch, but a few nights ago at a certain gas station in Rockingham Ridge, I was left speechless. Went inside to pay for my gas and was about 4th in line to pay, figuring something must be wrong with one of their machines or something, since this station is never usually slow. After waiting about two minutes and realizing the customer at the counter was still there, I started to notice what was going on. He was playing scratch tickets, or those ones with the pull-tabs on them. He would buy $5 worth using debit, stand at the counter, check every ticket, buy $5 more using debit, and this repeated a few times. This old man did comment something like "I'm taking awhile at this" (not an apology though) to which the young male clerk replied "buddy, hey I'm still working here if you take 5 five minutes or 10 minutes or whatever you need." My mouth dropped open at this. A few more customers had come in after me so now there are seven or eight of us in line, all shaking our heads in disbelief, loud groaning, making comments at the clerk to hurry it up, etc. to which he just kept allowing this customer to go about the tickets. The old man FINALLY gave up after he'd lost his money and walked out with this big smile on his face that I guess we were supposed to smile back at!!!! I think I gave myself facial paralysis from the strain I used making the dirtiest face of my life. I was in a slight rush so extra impatient and now finally cooled down but think I'll write to the company anyway, and let them know this happened.

So cranky
