Last night I went out and totally dead bars were charging $4+ for cover. Why should we pay cover? Do the bars think they're so great that we have to pay to enter their establishment and spend money? Restaurants and all retail business don't charge cov

Last night I went out and totally dead bars were charging $4+ for cover. Why should we pay cover? Do the bars think they're so great that we have to pay to enter their establishment and spend money? Restaurants and all retail business don't charge cover for the joy of shopping there. Hi, welcome to Sobeys, there's a $5 cover charge!

Any DECENT bar should be able to make their money by drawing a great crowd and selling lots of drinks. The Old Triangle never charges cover and they have live music all the time. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay cover to enter a deadzone with crappy non-live music.
