Every day on the way to and from work, I go past an elementary/junior high school. It's located in a neighbourhood full of houses and apartments. It's very family oriented and safe for kids. However, what I don't understand is why there are so many cars lined up everyday to drop off their kids and pick them up from school. There are clearly signs posted that state "No stopping/parking between 8am - 4pm", yet these cars are glued there. Not only do they cause all kinds of congestion, but they make it quite hard to see if kids are at the crosswalk or not.
Do these parents not let their kids get some exercise and walk to school??? Why do the police not ticket these cars or at least tell them to move?
