Three Little Pigs deemed offensive, Christmas deemed offensive....
I think it's about time for everyone to stop for a second and realize that EVERYthing on the face of the earth will be offensive to SOMEone and stop with the politically correct bullshit. This includes all the "new" labels for short/tall people, fat/thin people, white/black/chinese/muslim, disabled etc. We are so wrapped up in trying not to offend people that people are offended. Not only that but we waste valuable time, energy, and money to do it.
There is a very simple and easy ideal that can be applied for most of us normal folk but unfortunately it requires people to do nothing and as simple as that sounds, it's not easy. Everyone has a right to their opinion and thankfully we enjoy the freedom to have and voice said opinion. Having said that, those opinions should be voiced in the spirit of improvement, debate and working together to find a compromise or a better way not to just be contrary, venemous, hateful, hurtful or to hear yourself speak.
So here's my simple idea. Live and let live. Do what you want, when you want and how you want (please apply intelligence and common sense to this statement if able) and let everyone else do the same. If you don't like someone wishing you Merry Christmas, smile and say same to you or use whatever happy statement coincides with your beliefs centering in December. If you don't like the Three Little Pigs, don't read it or buy it but let those who want to do so in peace.
This is the idea of true acceptance and tolerance and gets rid of all those "ism's" out there. Sure there will still be negative, mean spirited, hateful people doing what they do best but the rest of us can promote better things.
Think this isn't a bitch? Too bad. It infuriates me when I hear some stupid politically correct bullshit about a ban, rally or change on every little insignificant thing but I figured my point might be better made acting in a civil manner.
