Who came up with the "Canada's Ocean Playground" slogan on licence plates in NS. It's stupid.
My plate is saying:"Hey you, driving behind me, just in case you didn't know, I live in a playground in Canada. By the ocean."
Other person seeing my plate: "Wow, that's really nice, I'll grab my beachball and head to Nova Scotia just as soon as I can. I like playgrounds. Do you have hula dancing?"
And that's just when travelling out of the province. When I'm in NS:
Plate in front of me: "Hey, you already know this, but you live in Canada, and it's by the ocean. It's a playground. You already knew this."
In a way it's like a small sandwich board. It's pretty humiliating.
Maybe we need a new one, or an updated one. I like:"Now With Sewerage Treatment!"
Or how about:"This is just a number plate but the little minds in whatever gov. dept. couldn't resist putting their cheesy tourist promo on this thing that I paid for."
I also think war is bad.
