Blaming four-year-olds?

by

It was great to watch the segment about last week's crosswalk collision on the news last night. A girl was nearly killed, and what is the response from the police? "Pedestrians shouldn't use the crosswalk". A crossing guard would make it a lot safer for the kids going to and from school, but apparently it's more important to shunt kids toward an inconveniently located pedway, thereby protecting the right of motorists to not stop for anyone, anytime.

So thanks a lot for making the position clear on this, Mr. Police Spokesman - cars matter, pedestrians are an inconvenience. If my kids manage to make it through without getting run over in a crosswalk, it won't be due to any efforts on your part.

Thanks for Nothing
