There is an old adage that if it's too loud, you're too old. Well I guess I am officially too old considering I live about 5 km away from the Common and I could sing along to Paul McCartney as my windows rattled, my kids were kept awake, and I dreaded getting up at 5am Sunday to go to work. As if this were not enough, I get to do it all over again next weekend when KISS is on the Common.
If the city of Halifax feels the need to cordon of public space given to residents by the King of England for a private concert, they could at least ensure it ends in good time rather than extending the noise bylaw so the show could go on as late as 1am. Is there a reason the concert could not have ended at 10?
