I walk everywhere here in Halifax in the summer (Metro Transit if I'm desperate) and it drives me crazy to have to jump to the side of a sidewalk to avoid getting hit because some fucking biker is biking down the middle of it. This happened 3 times within 5 minutes on Bell road yesterday, while a few concientious bikers whizzed by in the clearly marked bike lane right next to us. I understand that Halifax traffic can be dangerous and some people don't want to bike with the cars-- but where there are actual bike lanes, shouldn't there be some kind of law that MAKES THEM FUCKING USE IT? Pedestrians have the sidewalk, bikers get bike lanes. That's the whole damn point.
