Ignoring problems doesn't fix them

Getting out of a three-year relationship on the grounds of needing some time alone to figure yourself out is fine. Sometimes people need some alone time to realize what they have in their life and who really cares for them. When you immediately start seeing someone new just weeks after, it only makes you look bad. Once that new relationship feeling wears off, you're going to be right back where you started. So to anyone with relationship problems: don't do this. Take the time to deal with what you just ended or else you're going to be more messed up in the head than you were before. Problems can be worked out, but only if you acknowledge them. —Probably Better Off
