Again with the annoying things people do to service staff...
Some of you are walking attitudes. Not all of you, don't get offended.
Cell phone/texting while placing an order is rude to the staff and it's guaranteed to have your order fucked up. I don't know if you said yes to me or the person on the phone so I am putting the salt on your fries. So you will need them remade when there is salt on them. So i gotta stop what I am doing with the next customer when you could have solved it the first time by just talking to me.
Pouting like a 6 year old doesn't get you your way with me. There's a day care up the road though, they will give you what you demand.
Stop singing to the radio... again with men knocking on shit. it's distracting and you're tone deaf.
Ask me to change something, don't bitch like a little girl. 'I hate the music here' ask me to change the station. I have no problems with it but bitching and dancing around it, will get the CD put on continuous repeat till you leave.
If every *like* second *like* word *like* is *like* like, gets someone else to place your order, you're annoying.
just some food for thought...
and to be completely fair, service staff:
Not everyone you serve is from here, be patient, English is not everyone's first language. You're there to help, not hinder.
Personal phones should be off or silent. And I know I have been guilty of this. It makes the customer feel like they are interrupting you and your texting is more important.
When you are in uniform you represent the company you work for, so if you duck into a shop after work to get something and someone says 'oh I had one of your lunch specials, it was really good' say thank you.
Its usually a good idea not to wear your uniform outside of work.
Don't bitch about other staff to customers, they don't care and they might know them and tell them. It also makes the place look like a high school cafeteria.
The customer is not always right. but the customer can be taught. Don't go into the Harvard explanation just say, 'it's not that I won't do this for you, it's that I can't for this reason.' There is no reason to be rude. Kill someone with kindness, they will look worse than you. Let people have their attitude. People are usually pleasant and nice but there are those people who can not be pleased no matter what you do.
Check yourself every so often. Is your make up running? Can your bra straps be seen? Is your shirt stained? Fix your hair. Anything stuck in your teeth? Check your breath. You don't have to look like a model, but you have to look presentable.
Be prepared for work. You need your uniform shirt clean and your hat and name tag. Personally I don't believe in name tags.
Learn to let shit go. Work is work, leave it at work. Home is home, leave it at home. —Employee of the month
