So, yesterday afternoon just after sundown I made my way to the bus stop to wait for the bus. Imagine my excitement when I saw the bus approaching the stop ON TIME. I removed my bus ticket from my pocket, stepped closer to the road, turned off my Ipod... and watched as the bus barreled past me! I waved my arms to no avail and watched it continue on down the street!

So what was the response of the next bus driver when I explained what had happened? That bus drivers should slow down when approaching bus stops at night time? That bus stops should be better lit? Oh, it was quite simple really; I should carry a white plastic bag with me so that I could flag down the buses at night time. Apparently I was too dark to be seen at night and was therefore not visible.
