So, Valentine's Day has come and passed. Although I did not receive flowers, chocolate, or even a card, I do not feel like I have missed out on a day of romance with my fiancé. This is because I do not need a day appointed by the masses to force my fiancé to purchase me flowers that will die four days later, or a card that will be thrown out with the wilted flowers. There is no need to wait for one day to tell the person you love that you do indeed love them, every day is an opportunity to do so. If receiving “Dora The Explorer” valentines from classmates/coworker/parents/friends, on one day makes you feel special, then fill your boots, and mine too; because I know that each day I live I express my love for those around me, and I do not need to be told when to love by those in the marketing industry. —RL
