We fell on hard times. Our friends all say they want to help. Thanks friends, but inviting us out to the movies, for drinks, or dinner, to "cheer us up" is not helping. WE HAVE NO MONEY! You can come over to our place. You can provide moral support. You can recommend places that are hiring if you hear of anything. Hell, you can offer to be a reference if we need it. But, inviting us to something requiring cash, and saying things like, "If you lose the house, you can stay with us," is really f-ing insensitive. And no, we don't want your money—we'd rather keep our REAL friendships and self-respect. —Need a Job and New Friends
