It matters not which side of the fence I am on. There is a strike in progress and so be it. Yet there seems to be a strange double standard here. In our community there is a site where there have been shelters built, there are multiple burn pits, and piles of wood waiting to be burned. Yet not too long ago during the occupy movement, all buildings were removed, people lost personal belongings while standing for something they believed in. Personally I have had no involvement in either protest, yet we have this growing mess in our neighbourhood, which is conveniently left there over night, and on the weekends, when it is not convenient to man the post. My request is that all these protestors be treated in the same manner by the city, and that those who protest and ask for our support, please respect our community. You are welcome to your thoughts and opinions, but if I can be fined for leaving my garbage on the curb too long, then those same fines should apply here. —Why are Protestor Employed by the City Not Subject to the Same Rules?
