It blows my mind - how unaware people in Nova Scotia are of their surroundings. You can be in a grocery store and two people will literally bang in to you because they are so absorbed in their conversation that they don't notice you in front of them. You can be walking down the road and someone in front of you slows down in the middle of the sidewalk to look at something in a store window, blocking the entire right of way for everyone else. You can be driving down the road and the car in front of you is straddling two lanes doing 30 in a 70 zone while looking for street signs or trying to figure out where they are meanwhile cars are swerving to avoid rear ending their ass. Cars drive for miles and miles down provincial highways with turn signals on - oblivious to the designed to be annoying so you realize they are on "click click click click" and the flashing green light in your face. People drive for miles with no head lights on, you flash your lights to tell them that something is wrong and they don't even flinch. People cut you off, you lay on the horn and they don't even bother to give an apologetic wave or for that matter even notice they did something wrong. The list goes on and on and on. How self absorbed or simple do you have to be (the both are interchangeable in my opinion) to not notice the dangerous or otherwise obvious things going on around you? Is it a result of inbreeding? Flouride or arsenic in the water? Funny thing is that it translates to other less noticeable areas of the day to day life in the province. The government continues to screw us all over with over priced fees, taxes etc. that wouldn't even get considered in other parts of the country because they are so unaware of the shit that is going on around them. People make twice the salary in another province and accept it because they think "it's cheaper to live here" without even trying to do a realistic comparison or listen to anyone who presents information to the contrary. Wake the hell up all you dumb ass lazy and unaware people! —Wake Up!!!!!!
