Nova Scotia highways need “Animal Overpasses”

As I drive into the city everyday, I see at least 15 dead animals on the side of the road each way. Yesterday I saw a mother duck leading her baby ducklings toward the highway because she needed to get to the lake across the road. Earlier this spring, I saw a struggling, injured deer on the side of the road, and two highways workers were laughing over it. I wanted to scream in their ugly faces, but I was driving. It's no excuse, I know. What is wrong with people? Let's make an overpass for the animals over the 101 like the one in the Banff National Park. We need to protect Nova Scotia's wildlife, work WITH the animals! I wish that everyone could see the beauty in all animals despite our differences. —The Toughest Mother-Clucker in Town
