Need a little planning in the future

So what genius decided that the end of August was a good time to start to rip up roads and sidewalks in Halifax, just in time for the sart of school? Did you not consider that the middle of July might be a better time, when traffic is light and most people are off on vacation? Or do you have a sick sense of humor and enjoy watching commuters fume while they sit in traffic, made worse by poorly timed roadwork? I take public transit and my bus ride home is doubled in time. Then there is the sidewalk issue. Instead of informing pedestrians before they reach the ripped up sidewalks, so they can safely cross the street at a light or cross-walk, you have to wait until we actually get to the construction area before we realize that the sidewalk is closed. I could have crossed the street safely at the light half a block down if I had known I needed to. WTF people, how about a little planning in the future —Frustrated
