Love is six feet under

Posted By on Mon, Dec 17, 2018 at 5:04 PM

This is lunacy. I find that finding someone who is committed to a relationship, someone who's sweet and trustworthy, seems to have dried up in all aspects. Like, my dearest friend can't get a guy because they either show their true intentions, get bored or just can't wait to get to know her. From personal experience of being a gay guy into monogamy, I thought straight people had it better—but in reality it's not much better at all. I swear to god that future generation will ask "What's monogamy?" because there are way too many FWB, open relationships and people looking for hookups. I weep for those who are generally nice people but are surrounded by an ocean of sleaze and unreliable jackasses who will say things just to draw you near and get what they want from you then leave.

Singles, c'mon!

Posted on Fri, Dec 16, 2016 at 4:00 AM

Why is it so hard to find a good date in Halifax these days?! Where are the good single men in their 30s and 40s? I know they're out there. It gets harder to meet new people as we get older, it seems. I mean, I have a full, happy, and interesting life on my own but it sure would be nice to have a partner along for the journey. We should have fun stuff for singles, like speed dating, in this city! Online dating just doesn't cut it. People wander around out there with their heads down looking at their phones and don't see the possibilities all around them. —Waiting it out

Heart is aching

Posted on Thu, Dec 15, 2016 at 4:00 AM

Everyone in my life seems to have partners and I'm still single. I really do just need at least one person in my life, kind of just at a point where it feels like there's not really any possibility of that happening. It looks like people who already receive a good amount of affection receive more from more people. I feel like I keep getting pushed to the side and not getting a chance to grow as a person in that way. —Good thing I enjoy ice cream...

Where nothing was found

Posted on Mon, Oct 3, 2016 at 4:00 AM

What did it feel like, I cannot recall. But I remember it was good. It was untamed and dirty, spurring me into moments where my inhibitions squandered. A whore so penetrated by desire, sucking lust which fuelled a spirit unmatched before. That was what you did. But I emotionally sat alone, away and far apart from every moment I wanted to be around him, around her and them. You didn’t know I held a taste and smelled like them all, gallivanting down the streets as if I owned them. As if I deserved their pleasure smeared across my mouth, between my thighs and in my hair. Their shame was on display and they didn’t know. You thought I was just giving myself to you this whole time? Did you think i was just for you? As you whispered sweet nothings in my ear? How very foolish of you. I was never yours, you never mine and you can’t hurt me anymore because I’m gone. I hear nothing but the voice of my own now, reflecting on your inebriated self during nights filled with broken promises and booze. You were entertaining until you weren’t anymore. We’re all too fucking good. —A.C.U.

Three years is a long time

Posted on Mon, Sep 26, 2016 at 4:00 AM

broken-heart.jpg
We broke things off about 3 years ago, I was a mess emotionally, things got messy we both said things we probably regret. You blocked me from facebook, and completely cut off communication from me for 3 years. I was broken hearted for a good year. I moved on after that year and was ready to be your friend again. I have had crushes on other people and flings. I am not romantically interested in you in the least. You are definitely the wrong person for me, But I feel like a bad person because you completely cut me off from communication. I couldn't even tell you I am sorry. I finally have myself together emotionally and professionally. 3 years is a little much especially since I was the one who got their heart broken. I should have been the one to cut you off, but it definitely would not have been for 3 years If I did. Lets just appologize to each other and get it over with so that there is no more awkwardness when we see each other with friends and we can hang out and have fun. —Reach out to me if you want

Douchebag

Posted on Fri, Sep 9, 2016 at 4:00 AM

I always believed there is good in everyone. Then I met you, we fell in love, we got pregnant and now you want nothing to do with me. What man has sex unprotected with his girlfriend over and over, gets her pregnant and then just acts like she is evil because she morally does not want to have an abortion? Now I find myself pregnant and alone. I'm realizing how many people this actually happens to. I never got pregnant to try to keep you. What the hell am I getting from you? I was blinded by wanting love so badly, that I actually believed you were a kind human being. How quickly things have changed. Just when I thought I learned my lesson about douchebags—wham!!! Stupid me, gets fooled again. You are not god’s gift to women. How I could be honest and make you look like a fool? You are doing a great job on your own, looking like the loser that you are. —Fooled Again

How to find a girlfriend?

Posted on Wed, Sep 7, 2016 at 4:00 AM

confusing-heart.jpg
I am sure I'm opening myself up for some harsh comments here but whatever...I haven't tried online dating but was thinking about it. I've heard a lot of horror stories from both men and women so I am reluctant to sign up. In fact, I'd really rather not. I wouldn't ask someone out at work because that's inappropriate but I don't go downtown. If I had to rate myself with a number I would probably give myself somewhere between a 6 and a 7, closer to 7 I guess. I'm sometimes funny, pretty smart, a nice person...so how do I meet someone? I make enough money but am not rich, I don't own a car or a house. But I feel like there is more to me than that, at least I hope some women still care about other things? I'm not looking for a super model or a perfect person. This isn't really a bitch, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? There are a lot of opinions shared on this forum, someone has to know some trick I've missed haha. How do people meet offline these days? Friends recommend joining a club but I feel like joining a club to meet someone to date is insincere...and similar to asking someone out at work. What do people even do? I'm out of the loop. —Feeling lonely and getting kinda bummed out :(

Liar

Posted on Wed, Sep 7, 2016 at 4:00 AM

Contrary to your believe people know you are the opposite of what you portray to be. Do you ever wonder what justifies your behaviour and if there is anything wrong with deceiving your partner. Are you at all aware that you are conning yourself in thinking your possessions and looks make you a valuable partner? Attributes and things may get you the attention, however you conduct the way you walk through life, the footprint you leave behind is who you are. You should bother to examine your motivating factors for the lies you think you rely on, those lies indicate you are aware what you are trying to conceal is unacceptable and deserve to be put in question, if you think you are entitled to act a certain way why not conceal what you think you are entitled to. Have you ever considered that entitlement is a justification you come up with to do what you want, then why do you feel the need to conceal or lie about it . Maybe you are conning yourself into the believe that you are entitled to do what your gut tells you is wrong and hence you see the need to lie about it to conceal your unacceptable behaviour. If you were to stop the behaviour deemed wrong by your standards, you won’t have a reason to lie OR keep doing what you want but stop pretending you are better then what you are. For as long as you conceal your actions in lies, you camouflage who you are, depriving your love interest of an informed choice to take you as you are to or move on. Does it feel right to you being cared about for without caring about someone. You determine the depth of relationship you can have. So while you think your lies hide your true nature, those speak volumes about who you are once found out, therefore the thing you are most concerned about peoples opinion is the exact opposite of what you are trying to achieve with your lies. You are known as a selfish, self absorbed user and predator who uses lies and deceit to conquer a woman’s heart. —Done with you

Layes Lake Road Camping

Posted on Fri, Sep 2, 2016 at 4:00 AM

To the girl who screamed at her boyfriend for 3 hours straight in the middle of woods in the middle of the night on Layes Lake Road...I think you have really bad anger and drinking issues! To her boyfriend...grow some balls! How did you just let her scream at you for that long?? I felt really bad for your friend who was obviously third wheel and had to deal with that! It was my son's first time going camping and we decided to go somewhere peaceful, not a campground and you ruined it with your nonsense! If my son wasn't there I wouldnt have to make this bitch because you would of definitely met me! —IHYDHA (I Hope You Dumped Her Ass)

Scaredy Cat

storm-cloud-over-head.jpg
I could submit a bitch about how you're not that considerate, how you don't think to send a text after our nights out to see if I got home safe, how you take so long to get back to me but you're glued to your phone when we're together. This could be a bitch about all of the things you do that get under my skin, but instead this is a bitch by me, for me. I'm pissed at myself because for some reason I can't seem to just tell you what I want. I'm pissed because it's my inability to tell you how I feel that is part of the problem. I have no idea why I'm like this and I'm not even going to attempt to place blame anywhere. All I'm going to say is damn, Self, you gotta get your shit together or else you will never be happy. —Bitcher to bitcher

Lying about burying your grandmother

Posted on Thu, Jun 9, 2016 at 2:18 PM

baby-colour.jpg
To the man who lied about burying his grandmother just so he could avoid getting out of a date: You think that makes you a better person, but it doesn't. You’re just a little boy who needs a woman to give him confidence. You went to extreme lengths to lie to a lady. I told you everyone would know what you did and I'm keeping that promise. You’re now dating a woman who is just as crappy as you, and that fact that she's still with you shows me that her self-esteem is just as low as yours. —Cindy
