To the lady who gave me ten dollars for playing with other peoples kids. You rock! Thank you very much! I wasn't expecting to get anything out of it other than a bit of fun (and a way to spend a few hours), but the money helped me go on a school trip and I am SUPER greatful! I didn't thank you enough then (because I tend to get a bit flustered when money suddenly appears in my hands), but thank you so much.
---You know, that girl who was playing with all those kids. :D

Thanks for all your help! I'm a young female first-time car buyer who didn't stand a chance in negotiations. I know cars mechanically, but couldn't have gotten myself a decent price to save my life. You got me a car that I absolutely LOVE, 13 years newer than my old car, for a rock bottom price despite the remainder of its factory warranty, new all-season tires, and fantastic physical/mechanical condition. I couldn't have gotten myself half the car that you helped me find.

It was mesmerizing. It is plays like this that make me love live theatre. Last year's gem was Ubuntu... it still haunts me. This year it is yours. Thank you so much.

I want to express my thanks to the morning staff of the Tim Horton’s at Barrington/Sackville. It’s sad that you’re closing and I wanted to pass along my regards to cheering me up (whether you knew it or not) and for all the laughs. My mornings will never be the same!

Even though you try to hit me with your car sometimes I still love biking in Halifax. Thank you to everyone who was patient enough to wait behind me the day my shoe fell off.

The other night I freaked out when I noticed I lost $30. It's not a whole lot but it does keep my car's gas tank full. I looked all over the campus for places it may have jumped out of my pocket but with no luck I posted a note asking for a some kind soul to email me if they found it. You did! And better still, you didn't decide to just keep it, you emailed me and later we found each other and now I can fill up my thirsty car. I bike a lot but some late nights I just feel safer driving. Thanks!

To the person who found my brown leather glove: I spent my entire class worrying about the missing sibling to my favouite pair of gloves I've ever had. I spent 15 minutes re-tracing all of my steps after class and when I thought all hope was lost I looked up and saw my glove, neatly sitting on top of a little ledge. Not dirty, not ripped... not stolen... You've made my day the brightest and I hope you get tonnes of good karma for your kindness!

So it is time to get out of line and into the Girl Talk concert and my friends ask me if I have my ticket ready. To my surprise, I reach into my pocket to find that my ticket is gone. The only explanation for this is that when I handed out the tickets to my friends in the cab we took to the show, mine must have fallen out in the cab! As soon as I realized this had happened I was ready to walk home for the evening. But to my surprise, a few minutes later a friend of mine comes to me with a ticket he said he got from someone standing in line. I later find out that the person who gave me the ticket was from the The Coast.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, thank you so much for helping me have a wonderful night with my friends. You made my night. I will never forget such generosity and I will be sure to pay it forward.

---A Thousand Thank Yous
