I lost my wallet last August, on the bus. I figured I'd never see it again. Lo-and-behold, I get a call from MSI a few weeks ago to inform me that my MSI card, and by extension my wallet, was being held at the Metro Transit Lost & Found! I was elated, as I had my original birth certificate and SIN CARD in there (I know, not so bright) along with valentines my son had given me as a kid, pictures, etc.
So first of all, coming out of work to catch the 41 (which transfers me to the 52 so I can get to the Lost & Found) I immediately started running, seeing that the bus was going to be at the bus stop across the street imminently. I was just about to slow down (and give up) as the bus sailed past the bus stop when all of a sudden the blinkers went on and the bus pulled over. YES, the bus driver took pity on me and stopped. I got on, and thanked her profusely!
Secondly, after transferring to the 52, I made it to the transit Depot and was greeted by a pretty friendly guy at the Lost & Found who was happy to hand me my wallet (a sight for sore eyes) after getting my John Hancock on paper. I thanked him profusely too!
Double win! Thank you Metro Transit! Twice in one day! —Dartmouthy
