And boy I wish I did. Will we ever meet again? I search for you in everything.

I never thought I’d meet anyone that I loved like I loved her. I thought that the days of butterflies were long behind me. Never did I expect for you to be the one I wanted to stay up with late at night. Wake up beside. And kiss every day for the rest of my life. If only I could tell you these things, but you’re my best friend.

Every day, I fall a little more in love with you. I never expected to, but once I noticed the feeling creeping in, I was powerless to stop it. I don’t think you feel the same, nor are either of us in the place to begin a new relationship, even if you did. Maybe, one day. For now, I’ll cherish our every stupid little joke, our all-day text conversations and our close friendship. I just wish you knew how special you really are.

You don't need to keep leaving me treats and greeting cards in my doorway, I'm grateful to simply be alongside you.

To the very handsome and friendly firefighter (white uniform) whom I was chatting with in line at Superstore late morning on a Tuesday: I am sure you have a lovely wife. On the off chance that you do not, I am very single. If I missed an opportunity, maybe the universe will find a way for us to meet again?

I wanted to write to share how grateful I am for my weird little apartment building. I live in a brightly painted building that most people recognize and few know. I rented it without ever seeing it (just moved from another city). When I come back from my morning walk/gym sesh, I am comforted by the neighbours in my hallway who are awake and brewing yummy coffee and cooking something sweet-smelling. As I pass each door, my mind goes off into a wonderland of imagining what Martha Stewart situation is happening on the other side. It's a fun way to start my day, and to those neighbours, I thank you. I don't know you all but I like you.

I've only known you two months, but I feel more comfortable around you than anyone I've ever met. You're thoughtful, fun, intelligent and silly. I want to thank you for helping me change my lifestyle, and for all the fantastic adventures we've had. I hope there's many, many more.

Today, a three-year-old showed me the Spiders! exhibit at the museum. This evening, I showed him how to make rainbows with a garden hose. Yesterday, we shared pie at the backyard picnic table and invited every neighbour passing by to join us. Tomorrow, I will continue to love and to be loved. I have found family all around me. So I will wear gifted pink earrings, eat ginger-lemon ice cream and pet all the local cats, and I recommend that anyone feeling a little lost and a lot little do the same.

You three were totally hot on Friday night at a certain downtown establishment. Him: handsome, charismatic and in charge, but not in a gross way. Her: beautiful, sweet and nervous. After your magic third showed up (perky, bubbly, curly) listening to you three saved me from dying of boredom with my night that didn't go so well. You couldn't keep your hands off each other and you were so clearly all going to get it on when you left there, I almost got up and volunteered!

I'd like to give a shout out to everyone working this past week in customer service and food service who rocked their jobs in this sweltering weather! I see you! You're all working so hard and still manage to be so pleasant, air conditioner or not, and I appreciate that.
