To the carpenter/artist with the moves

Posted By on Thu, Sep 19, 2019 at 4:37 PM

Thanks again for being the right kind of weirdo! I've had the most emotionally draining week, and you made everything seem a little less bitter. If I weren't happily coupled I would have gladly let you hit on me. Perhaps in another dimension my doppleganger gave you a ride home and her number. In this dimension, I thank you for brightening my night and being a complete gentleman.

Where are you?

Posted By on Wed, Sep 18, 2019 at 10:30 AM

Hey Mr. Postman: We stopped and talked two summers in a row on the steps to the beach. You had lots of time to spend there because of an injury. How about meeting again on Monday, September 23, rain or shine around 4pm?

Loved your smile and style

Posted By on Wed, Aug 21, 2019 at 1:48 PM

Looking for a sweet-looking guy who gave me a quick smile on the #2 bus to Mumford 18/08/19. He had long hair in a low pony, a septum piercing, metal tee, green shorts and grey backpack. I sat across from him (you) and was chatting excitedly with my sis. This seems crazy to even me, but thought I might try. Not too many people feel like home when you look at them.

Teacher hot for teacher

Posted By on Fri, Aug 16, 2019 at 8:27 AM

I was really enjoying talking with you, and after complimenting each other and confirming a mutual attraction, was going to suggest getting together for a coffee or a drink the next day. Much to my chagrin, you seem to have deleted your profile. If you’re out there and see this, maybe the song “Georgia on my Mind” will jog your memory. Would love to meet to get to know you.

42-year-old handsome teacher (great smile, salt-and-pepper curls, ink)

Posted By on Mon, Aug 5, 2019 at 8:02 AM

I really enjoyed talking with you over the last few days, A. I had planned to ask you out today but was disappointed to see you’d disappeared (one of the many cons of today’s dating culture). If I see you around, I shall bite the bullet and risk asking. Happy summer!

If you read this and Georgia is on your mind, this is for you.

Missed queernection

Posted By on Thu, Aug 1, 2019 at 10:55 AM

You are the adorable person who sat across from me on the bus and then across from me at the Dyke and Trans March. Were we making eye contact? I genuinely can’t tell! My vision is very bad! Either way to you and anyone else who was there, thank goodness for you and your fabulous queer selves. Thank you for creating that community space and for giving me the opportunity to unapologetically dream and chant and ogle. I hope you went home dreaming of a marvelous future and the ways you’ll fight for it. Don’t lose any of that hope or that bitterness. And if you see me again, please say hi!

I don't normally like beards, but....

Posted By on Tue, Jul 2, 2019 at 11:12 AM

I know you're completely off limits, but I can't stop thinking about you. I realize I don't talk to you much, but there's a reason for my silence: You render me tongue-tied with one glance. Sorry for being so abrupt yesterday when you approached me. I'm a complete dork around men I find attractive. You're the first guy I've had an interest in in almost three years, and I'm kinda rusty. I know I don't have a hope in hell with someone like you, but a girl can dream. Thanks for making work tolerable with your dark, brooding, sarcastic presence. You're fine as hell—but you already know that.

My fave legal dealer

Posted By on Wed, Jun 19, 2019 at 4:20 PM

To the guy with the curly hair and glasses who works at one of the NSLC's dope counters: I play the line game trying to get you but I always end up at the other guy's tilt. Such a bummer as you are lovely. I wonder if you're single?

Bussed opportunity

Posted By on Mon, Jun 3, 2019 at 1:36 PM

It was nice sitting next to you on the bus to Halifax. You boarded in Amherst, I think: Blue and black and denim. You said you'd have to sit next to me as it was the only seat. How could I have minded?

I asked if it was still raining outside, although I had a window seat and could see for myself. We didn't say much on the drive, but I would have sat there happily all the way to Yarmouth, had we both been bound that way.

When we were leaving the bus at the terminal, you smiled and offered to let me go ahead. I grabbed my backpack from the overhead, sat down, and froze like a kid at his first middle school dance. By the time I left the bus, you were gone. I still have the weird note I scribbled as we were pulling in, but could not offer you when it counted.

Maybe we'll sit next to each other again sometime. A guy can hope!

Sunshine at Mumford Professional Centre

Posted By on Mon, Mar 25, 2019 at 6:13 PM

Blonde beautiful girl wearing a yellow dress on the first day of March. I immediately noticed a distinctive personality, a unique soul, one who can laugh at anything, one who is kind and caring to others. Her sweet smile can melt anyone's heart, her blue ayes are from another galaxy. You made my day and possibly my existence.

Red beret made my day

Posted By on Mon, Mar 4, 2019 at 6:03 PM

You were at The Oval. As was I. It was the last Thursday in February at noon or so. I couldn’t help but drift close to you to watch you skate. Your blond hair flowing from a red beret. It made my day to do a few more laps. See ya round, and round and...

Fellow Boxing Day movie-goer

Posted By on Wed, Jan 2, 2019 at 11:29 AM

To the cute guy who sat three seats down from me at Vice this afternoon at MicMac Mall. You had longish hair and glasses, I had red hair and a big sweater. I meant to smile back and you but was momentarily too shy.—Boxing Day bold

Kind, bearded bus rider

Posted By on Mon, Dec 10, 2018 at 1:56 PM

You were on the bus heading to Dartmouth and picked up a glove another lady dropped. I thought you were cute but I’m shy and didn’t chat. Also, is hitting on people on buses a thing? I don’t know, but I hope to see you commuting again!

Schoolgirl staring

Posted By on Mon, Oct 22, 2018 at 3:53 PM

To the man at Alteregos on Saturday with the beanie, forearm tattoo & beard: Wow. I don't know if you're a Halifax Pop Explosion artist just passing through or a longtime Hali resident, but you are one handsome dude. If you're looking for a broke uni chick who likes coffee, I'm your girl.
—I'd rather study you
