No election

As I've stated previously, I think it's very unlikely there'll be a provincial election this year.

With a crucial budget vote ahead, Nova Scotia's minority Progressive Conservative government has agreed to meet one of the demands of the Liberals — to train more doctors.

Liberal leader Stephen McNeil has played this pretty well, raising his profile through a series of TV ads making a veiled threat of bringing down the government, and leveraging that into getting something to bring back to what he considers his constituency.

But in real terms, ten more doctors-in-training won't make any difference at all, for anybody.
