When my (not yet) fiance Phil and I were finishing our degrees to become teachers, we decided that we wanted to explore the world a little bit, and began applying for jobs to teach in England for a year. We had been trying for about 4 months with little success, when suddenly one morning we got a call telling us we had been hired! We were super excited until we realized we had 3 weeks to get ready and move our entire lives to another continent. I spent the whole day trying to book flights, find apartments, and figure out every little detail. That evening as we were winding down, I jokingly said to Phil he still had thee weeks to get me a ring if he was going to propose before we moved. He sighed and told me he couldn't buy a ring... I started to agree, saying that I knew we couldn't afford it... but I didn't get to finish, because he stopped me to tell me that he had decided to propose weeks before, and had already bought the ring! I was so shocked and surprised that I was not only moving to England, but doing so with my new fiance! The best part? We managed to travel to 11 different countries in one year, and we are using that as inspiration for our wedding!
