Ray’s Haus European Cafe and Bistro grand opening

Tasty treats for the south end

Music, magic and a movie, Halifax’s newest European style cafe, Ray’s Haus European Cafe and Bistro (5599 Fenwick Street, 405-8303) is opening their türen with a “meet your neighbours” block party on Sunday, May 15.

Ray’s is aiming to become one of the better all-ages venues for local artists of any background. Poets, musicians, actors and painters alike are welcome to come in and perform.

On the day, live music will get the ball rolling, featuring the song stylings of Jackson Jah. From there, party-goers will be treated to the illusionary work of local magician Rosemary Reid. If you miss the live music and magic show, don’t fret; a showing of The Sound of Music will play at dusk featuring a one-of-a-kind light show. The party starts at noon and runs til close.
