I would like to know why the workers in the Community Services (Welfare) office are hiding behind two windows of bullet-proof plexiglass as if their clients are criminals or second-class citizens requiring segregation. I also saw a large double mirror and a large sign warning the premises was under constant video surveillance. This is an office that is open to the public whose clients are out of work or down on their luck professionals, people out of work due to the economy or illness. These are people suffering from financial hardship, people of diverse ethnicity, elderly, hearing impaired people, disabled, single mothers, and low income students. While waiting over an hour in the waiting room to meet with an intake worker with whom I had an appointment, I noted that every single person who entered the office, acted politely and respectfully... even the gentleman who had been trying for over a month in vain to receive a cheque in order to pay his rent, said please and thank you. The workers behind the plexiglass brushed off his issues with an expressionless shrug and said someone would call him. His concerns fell upon deaf ears. Even I, dressed in a suit jacket, was interrupted when I asked the receptionist a question after waiting my turn in line. I was dismissed and told to take a seat as if what I was about to say did not matter. I looked around the waiting room, there were children's toys strewn about, a sign on the wall about the office being a "Respectful workplace" and pretty, colourful (yet very hypocritical) posters illustrating diversity. This office is situated in a medical centre. The other offices in the building and area are not secured nor are they under such surveillance. Your clients are members of the general public. You should not feel the need to put up bullet proof walls and lock all of your offices as though you are running a high-security penitentiary. We are not dangerous criminals. We have committed no crimes. If we had; we would be in jail. Why must I feel like an outcast of society because I need to receive the benefits to which my tax dollars have been contributing for over 15 years? Why must we, innocent and free citizens - HUMAN BEINGS endure such discrimination and oppression at the hands of our government? How dare this government office conduct business with such blatant and egregious oppression and discrimination. This segregation is disgusting! You should know that the law does not permit discrimination based on financial hardship, illness, ethnicity or unemployment. Perhaps you have dealt with irate people in the past and some genius thought such measures would be a good idea. Perhaps, you should treat people as human beings worthy of respect and equality and provide the assistance to which they are entitled - then maybe they would not become so irate. I used to earn $50,000 per year and I used to earn respect. I have never felt so low in my life because of your office culture of discrimination and the atmosphere of segregation you created and allow to continue. I recently applied for a position with Community Services (Secretary 3). This apparently "dangerous criminal /druggie /thief/ crazy person" might just soon be your new colleague. —Take down the walls - this isn't Berlin!

We were at a little place for lunch today but had great difficulty carrying on a conversation due to the dude two tables over incessantly spouting inane blather at his lunch guests in a very, very loud voice. Please folks, when indoors, use your indoor voice! You only have to be heard by the people at your table - not the whole damn restaurant! —Full of beans

Believe it or not continually being inconsiderate of somebody's time is not acceptable. It's not a rare occurrence with you, it's an expected thing now. The worse part is you act totally remorseless about it. I don't know if it's because I put up with it, or if it's because we're best friend and you know I'll still love you, probably both. Guess what? Being a flake isn't an attractive quality on anybody especially your best friend. —Break the habit it's gotten old

I do work at that location now. We'd appreciate it if you went elsewhere for your coffee. Please and thank you. —Me.

I have some mobility issues and this is the reason for my bitch I don't give a rats ass if you don't agree with me - I just need to get this off my chest. - signs that say "Please move to the rear - Exit by rear door" yet majority of people push through throngs of incoming - many who have walked from the back of the bus and passed one if not 2 open exit doors. And crowding at the front of the bus when there is plenty of standing room at the back...and the low floor buses that have the higher rear seating - you can stand up there as well - you really won't bump your head !!! - signs that say "Space must be vacated for elderly and handicapped" - I'm thinking maybe these signs should be changed to "Space must be vacated for baby carriages loaded with kids and purchases" - If you were to check the Rider User Guide you would clearly see collapsible strollers are allowed on the buses as well as the maximum size of said stroller. No Double wides please. - For those that do use the rear access doors, please don't yell at the bus driver to open the back door - until you have read the instructions in front of you posted on every exit door as to how to open the door. Wait for Green Light to appear... Wave hand here...Touch yellow strip...touch the Push Bar....Step Down etc... -Finally a little common sense and courtesy can go a very long ways - please remove your back pack to avoid hitting someone that is seated upside the head - not to mention if the bus is crowded some of those backpacks take up the space of a second person - maybe you should be charged double fare! -If you have a lot of parcels, groceries etc - the seat beside you is not alloted just for your excess baggage and don't get right pissy with me if I ask to sit where your parcels are piled. There is space on the floor at your feet and under the seat - or taking a taxi would be another option. -I really think that the bus drivers should all follow the same rules and safety regulations. If you tell one person that they cannot get on the bus with a take out cup coffee or other beverage then you should do the same for all - whether you know them - are long time friends or....If the rule is not to pick up a passenger after the wheels have left the curb of the bus stop then No one should be doing this - ever - it is a safety issue. -Oh and last but not least....Bus drivers that are unfriendly, gruff or just absolutely ignore any form of nicety - fuck you. You are working with the public and understandably there are going to be days that you want to punch someone in the throat - but if you are finding it more and more difficult to deal with the public - Quit and find something you do like outside of the public eye. —just sayin'

You had a month to collect my things you left behind. You had another month to make it right. Thanks for shinning me on with the lies and empty promises, leaving it long enough to make me start sounding petty. Maybe you just couldn't face up to the mistake and hoped I'd just go away if you ignored me... maybe something else. I don't care. I tried to keep it in house with a note but, even though it is her name on the line, she didn't give a wit. I've notified the BBB. To all potential home buyers and sellers. Make sure you check the bottom line twice. My agent not only screwed me out of personal property but I was almost screwed on the commission. If I hadn't checked the math myself it would have cost me an extra $2k! I've bought and sold 4 houses and the status quo for service seems to follow that you need to make damn sure you close ALL your business and tie up all YOUR loose ends with your agent BEFORE you pay them out. Otherwise, good fucking luck getting anything out of them once you do. —I'll never use another corporate shyster again!

Makes me crazy the way a certain young bitch throws herself at my man. She is well aware he and I are living together and in a serious relationship but her 20 something ass feels it is appropriate to text and privately message my 45 year old man. Can you say daddy issues? Go resolve your daddy issues and leave my man alone. Oh and he sees nothing wrong with the friendship and believes I am being petty. Oh please...she's younger than his damn daughter. Has no one any respect for monogamy anymore? —I'm too old for this sh*t!

Dear Fall River teenagers. It's bad enough that I have to try to time walking my dogs around when your giant, young, testosterone driven, degrassi episode reenacting swarms take lunch/skip classes, but god damnit! STOP THROWING ALL OF YOUR TRASH ON THE FUCKING GROUND!!! This is a COMMUNITY Center, douche bags! Children play here and old people walk here!! And yeah! I fucking stopped all of you to tell you that! Don't act like I'm your mom or some teacher reprimanding you! I'm 24, and cooler than you! Look me in my god damn eyes, and instead of making an excuse like a child, CLEAN UP YOUR MESS! Raaaaaaaah!!!!! —Girl with the German Shepherd and Chihuahua.

How can you possibly help others with heathcare at home, if you are so dirty, fat and unkempt yourself? If you cant even get a uniform that fits you...... —Heathcare should be healthy.

After changing hands it was reasonable to expect a few changes. First it started with higher prices, then the cream cheese on the bagel got a little thinner, the service got progressively worse. Now you are putting green onions in the chive cream cheese! Give me a break. You are the worst. —I've got 99 problems and bagels are #1
