The Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council is in the final stages of planning their annual Summer Craft Show, taking place again this year under a variety of tents at the corner of Spring Garden and Queen, a location that will be occupied the week before by the Jazzfest. Mark your calendars for the NSDCC Summer Craft Show, taking place Friday, July 24 10am to 8pm, Saturday July 25 10am to 6pm and Sunday, July 26 10am to 6pm. It’s your one-stop regional summer craft market, with locally made apparel, jewellery, bags, kitchenware and every kind of handcrafted gift imaginable, with artisans working in glass, wood, textiles, metal and clay. Many of those craftspeople will be present to instruct on their skills as well, including handcoiling clay, stitching, basketry spinning, weaving and metalwork.
