Elsie's expands and Clothes Horse moves

Queen Street becomes the epicentre of vintage cool.

A few weeks ago we wrote about Put Me On (upstairs, 1532 Queen), Pamela McInnis' new clothing shop. Now, local fashion and vintage hounds will have even more reason to visit the stylish street. Clothes Horse, originally next door (1530 Queen) and upstairs from Elsie's Used Clothing, has moved into the same building as Put Me On. On August 1, Elsie's will officially open the second floor of their expanded boutique in Clothes Horse's old space. But don't worry, there won't be an oversaturation of cool—used clothing store Encore (1528) flanks the other side of Elsie's—each of the savvy owners has their own distinctive style and range of clothing, shoes and accessories.
