You may have noticed a certain locally shot movie is opening in cinemas this week, a little something called Hobo With A Shotgun. Director Jason Eisener and producer Rob Cotterill were over at Pro Skateboards and Snowboards (6451 Quinpool Road, 429-6788) last week to help open boxes of Hobo decks, maple boards from Control Skateboards in Quebec, illustrated with the original poster graphic by Tom Hodge from the movie. The decks are $59, including the grip tape, though it’s hard to imagine anyone riding one of these suckers. They’re more likely to be displayed prominently in the home, a gory, glorious collectors item to remind folks of the day the Hobo came to town.
