Oh how time flies when you're changing a city. This week marks four years for the wonderful CarShare HFX (2459 Agricola Street, 406-7439) and it's celebrating with cake and wise words. This afternoon, you're invited to join CarShare and friends at Dalhousie University's Ondaajte Hall (in the McCain building, 6135 University Avenue) to hear from Tim Papandreou. He's the deputy director of sustainable streets in San Francisco, and is visiting to share some tips and bright ideas for Halifax, focussing on the question, "How can we create a city where using a car will be the last resort?" This not-to-be-missed presentation kicks off at 4:30pm, so you may want to skip out of the office a wee bit early (with good reason, boss). Cake, prizes and merriment to follow.

Congrats on another year, CarShare; Here's to four more.
