If you’re already plotting your New Year’s resolutions you might want to hear what Jackie Kellestine and Lisa Baldwin are up to in Dartmouth.

The longtime friends will open Revolution Fitness (112 Woodlawn Road) on December 16, a fitness studio that’s aimed at working with all types of abilities, offering classes to prenatal and postnatal women, seniors, students, beginners and of course, fitness buffs. They've taken over a 3,400 square foot spot that used to be a Lawtons in the Woodlawn Plaza.

“We’re trying to keep it a very personalized atmosphere,” says Baldwin, a school teacher turned trainer. “Yes we're there to set goals for you, but you’re helping us set the goals.” Revolution got its start over a year ago when Kellestine (a chartered accountant, cyclist and trainer) made the pitch to Baldwin to start an indoor cycling gym. But it’s evolved to include both boot camp group classes and personal training alongside its 20-bike studio, which will offer about 40 classes a week.

With a grand opening slated for January, Revolution is offering 15 percent off everything until December 31, as well as discounts on cycling memberships. To check out schedules and prices take a gander at its website here.
