Just about seven years after opening, Spa Chappelle (5832 St. Margaret’s Bay Road) is celebrating its second location this week. Owner Shannon Chappelle says the new space (located at 65 Dellridge Lane, in the rapidly growing Larry Uteck neighbourhood) allows more room for both services—facials, body treatments, manicures, pedicures, infrared sauna, to name a few—as well as the retail side of her business.
As a way of fighting her own fatigue, Chappelle created her Sweet Skin Signature Tea ($15). With a base of rosebud and silver needle white tea, the anti-oxidizing concoction of seven herbs is designed to do a lot more than taste good going down. “We need to take care of the skin inside and out, that’s been my approach my entire career,” she says of her Sweet Skin line, which will soon include smoothies. “I’m constantly thinking of ways to nourish people on the inside.”
