Finding Forage at Halifax Crafters Spring Market

'Cause it's SPRING everyone!

Pretty mug from Forage Studios

Halifax Crafters Society really really want to convince us that it is springtime. And we really really want to believe them. The collective of local hand-makers is hosting its annual Halifax Crafters Society Spring Market this weekend at the Olympic Community Hall (2304 Hunter Street), where you can find beautiful things of all shapes and sizes—papercraft, leather, food, textiles, jewellery, ceramics and more.

One such stunning maker sure to cheer you up is the Lunenburg-based Mariko Paterson, she’s the artist behind Forage Studios’ quirky and clever ceramics. Relatively new to Nova Scotia via BC, she’s making her second Crafters appearance, bringing with her enough plates, platters and bowls to make you want to empty your cupboards and then re-fill them with beauties like this mug (call it spring cleaning?). Find Forage and many others this Saturday, April 5, from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, April 6, from 10am to 5pm. Call it your required dose of vitamin D
