I’ve been creeping in the windows of 2445 Agricola Street over the past six months, watching the transformation of the former KPC Ltée and waiting for Amos Wood Mouldings & Millwork to arrive.

With the helping hands of MRB Contracting the building’s now beautiful enough to reflect what’s inside: the wall coverings, siding, flooring, countertops and other millwork—and high end handmade furniture—that Amos is known for carefully crafting.

“The excitement has become sort of painful,” laughs Jeff Amos, owner of the Blockhouse-based business that’ll expand to north end Halifax tomorrow, Thursday April 10, when the shop officially opens. “We literally had on our business plan for January 2013 that I would go into the city and explore. And I explored a little early."

Amos says he’s been aiming to broaden Amos Wood’s market since he took over the biz six years ago, and had his sights set on Agricola Street before he even stumbled upon 2445. “The vibrancy is practically electric.”
